Since I was a child Psalms 23 has always been a source of great comfort to me, both in times of trouble and when things are going well. Verse 2 says, "He makes me lie down in green pastures...". IÌve noticed that when IÌm feeling anxious and worried about life, if I just stop to listen and draw near to the Lord, His Peace and Joy will come to me regardless of my circumstances. This painting is about how God feels about us, His longing to enrich our lives with His Presence (the green pastures) and His desire to give us His goodness in the midst of a difficult world. Sometimes our greatest bounty is just finding rest for our souls. God is good.
